Litigation Support -  Mr. Looney's credentials as both a Certified Public Accountant and his "real world" experience as a senior executive serves him well to offer support to your more complex commercial litigation cases.   As a member of a litigation team, Mr. Looney has assisted in designing discovery techniques to uncover and unravel complex factual situations,  provide support for, and calculations of,  complex damage theories and where necessary, "expert"  testimony.

Fortunately commercial litigation is not an everyday occurrence for most enterprises. However,  when an organization finds itself confronted with litigation, either as a plaintiff, or as a defendant, the organization must proceed to swiftly nominate a team and develop a strategy that will maximize its probability of prevailing. Besides tending to be very expensive, litigation can be very time consuming. Both the expense of the case and the time demands  placed upon an organization can be dramatically influenced by the experts  retained by the attorneys (not to mention the influence on the outcome) . An experienced and competent expert can greatly mitigate the burden upon the organization, and provide invaluable insight and support to the attorneys.

Mr. Looney's depth of litigation experience as either a consultant, or as a corporate principal, has included  tort claims, enforcement of representation and warranty claims flowing from M&A contracts, domestic and international patent and copyright enforcement, defense of large and complex lost profits claims, actions in Federal Court to set aside regulatory rule making by the U.S. Government, litigation in the Bankruptcy courts to include highly charged competing plan actions, Chapter Eleven cases, class action suits, as well as claims arising from Maritime Law.
