Mr. Looney's areas of practice include corporate crisis management, turnarounds, interim management, refinancing and restructuring, and commercial litigation support:

Crisis Management - Companies executing a  difficult transition often arrive at  a point where existing personnel can no longer provide objective analysis, or  key decision makers have either departed or have otherwise compromised their ability to lead. Mr. Looney has the experience and demeanor to assume a transitional role while gaining the confidence of all stakeholders, including creditors, equity holders, the board of directors, as well as the remaining on-site personnel. This ability to quickly gain respect and roll up his sleeves can serve your company well in quickly stabilizing your situation and efficiently refocusing the effort.  

Turnaround Management  - One of the more difficult aspects of creating a viable workout plan for an organization in financial distress is objectivity. It is often difficult for "insiders" to step back, weigh the facts, analyze the situation against strategic and economic criteria,  and to then recommend a course of action that maximizes the long term interests of  the shareholders.  Mr. Looney can offer you the insight and support of an objective "outsider" with the professional experience of having worked with a number of distressed companies, including those having elected  court supervised reorganization as well as those  that found non-supervised voluntary workouts more practical for their particular situation. 

Interim Management -  Having held roles from CEO to CFO, Controller, and General Manager, Mr. Looney is well equipped  to step into your particular situation and immediately provide leadership and support. All companies at one time or another find themselves in a position where a popular CEO needs to be replaced without notice, or a CFO suddenly resigns, or a key manager must take a leave of absence. Mr. Looney can step into this role, reassure the remaining staff, contact clients, assure creditors, and bridge the gap while the permanent replacement is recruited or the missing team member can return. 

Refinancing   - Refinancing and restructuring projects can place a near  unmanageable work load on organizations including senior management. Mr. Looney's previous "hands on" experience with refinancing and restructuring can be an asset in either directly supporting your project by helping to draft the strategic action plan, offering memoranda, solicitation memoranda, or to simply supplement the day to day operational staff. The age old adage of the operation having been a success, but the patient died, can have a distinct application to refinancing and restructuring efforts if the internal work load is not competently managed.      

Litigation Support -  Mr. Looney's credentials as both a Certified Public Accountant and his "real world" experience as a senior executive serves him well to offer support to your more complex commercial litigation cases.   As a member of a litigation team, Mr. Looney has assisted in designing discovery techniques to uncover and unravel complex factual situations,  provide support for, and calculations of,  complex damage theories and where necessary, "expert"  testimony.
